Corrective Action

Purpose

A nonconformity and the containment, root cause, action, owner, due date, effectiveness test and closure that follow.

Role

ISO/IEC 27001 and 42001 Clause 10.1 require reacting to nonconformity, evaluating need for action, implementing that action, and reviewing its effectiveness. Enforcement logs record that something was blocked or remade; they do not close the CAPA loop.
